APPICE, BAIN Rejoin WWIII, Live Dates Planned Later This Summer
July 22, 2004Original WWIII members Vinny Appice (drums, ex-BLACK SABBATH, DIO) and Jimmy Bain (bass, ex-RAINBOW, DIO) have joined forces with WWIII mastermind/singer Mandy Lion and lead guitarist Moni Scaria to form the newest incarnation of the group, according to a posting on Mandy's web site. Live dates are currently in the works for later this summer.
WWIII's first album in 12 years, "When God Turned Away", was released last November through Reality Entertainment. The CD, which features Lion, co-producer Joe Floyd on guitar, Geezer Montez on bass and Sledge on drums, was originally scheduled for release in 2001 but was delayed due to Mandy's inability to secure a proper record deal in the U.S.
